It is said that there are as many as fifteen kinds in decorations of the Star Festival(Tanabata).

One of them is called “Tanzaku” in Japanese.

I want to introduce how to make it in the following movie.

“Tanzaku” is categorized into five colors, red, white, yellow, green and purple.

Each color has a meaning.

Red Tanzaku is made with an appreciation for ancestors.

White Tanzaku is made with a determination that we don’t cheat.

Yellow Tanzaku is made with a hope that we build up our good human relationship.

Green Tanzaku is made with a hope that we can be self-disciplined.

Purple Tanzaku is made with a hope that we can achieve academic development.

It is said that our hopes are realized if we write the right ones according to each color.
