How to make “Kamigoromo”, a decoration for the Star Festival(七夕飾り・紙衣)

It is said that there are as many as fifteen kinds in decorations of the Star Festival(Tanabata).

One of them is called “Kamigoromo” in Japanese.

I want to introduce how to make it in the following movie.

As another article explains, it is said that Hikoboshi (Cow herder) and Orihime (Weaving Princess), are allowed to meet each other on the day of Tanabata(the Star festival).

“Kamigoromo” is decorated with two kinds of hopes. One is that we get to improve our sawing techniques.

Another hope is that we never get in trouble with clothes we wear. We sometimes regard Kamigoromo a scapegoat for evil or illness because the shape looks like a person.

Thank you for watching and reading!
